The transport company GLS implemented in Neoship

Neoship is expanding its portfolio of logistics services, and as of today the transport company GLS joins the transport company SPS.

What led us to implement another carrier into Neoship?

We listen to our current and potential customers. At our business meetings we often received requests related to parcel transport that we could not cover through our current partner, SPS. That too was a reason why an e-shop did not go for our services, even though they liked Neoship as a comprehensive dispatch solution. That is exactly why we decided to expand the shipping options with the courier company GLS.

We want to keep guaranteeing customers the quality of our services in two areas: the SYSTEM and the TRANSPORT. Our aim will be to continuously develop new features with added value in Neoship and at the same time to provide quality transport with one of our transport partners.

Why GLS?

There are several companies providing parcel transport in Slovakia. We were looking for one that would cover the services customers currently miss at SPS. Our decision was influenced above all by coverage of the services we required, but also by the technical and development capabilities of the other side (the carrier) and by the options for exchanging data between Neoship and the new carrier. We found common ground with GLS on both counts.

The GLS services will be appreciated above all by e-shops that - need to send parcels to neighbouring Czech Republic or Hungary and require next-day delivery from the carrier, - need to transport heavier and oversized parcels as well, - need parcels collected abroad, - want to deliver parcels to ParcelShops in the Czech Republic and Hungary.

Will it be possible to combine both carriers within Neoship?

We want to leave the decision itself to the customer. It will be up to them whether they choose SPS, GLS or a combination of both. Depending on how satisfied or dissatisfied they are with a carrier's services, they may decide differently over time. What we want to avoid is a situation where our customer is unhappy with a carrier's services and has to look for a new one outside Neoship because of it. Thanks to the alternative carrier, an e-shop can keep using Neoship's services comfortably, just with a different carrier.
