Slovak Parcel Service – our partner in shipment transport

Our long-term partner in shipment transport is the company Slovak Parcel Service s.r.o. (SPS). Since 2013 we have together been bringing our customers guaranteed dispatch quality by connecting the unique Neoship dispatch system with shipment transport through their courier services.

A few words about Slovak Parcel Service s.r.o.

Slovak Parcel Service s.r.o. (SPS), together with its sister company IN TIME s.r.o. (delivery in the Czech Republic), is considered the largest private express transport company in Slovakia. SPS has been on the express courier services market since 1992 and for more than 20 years has represented the American transport company United Parcel Service (UPS) in Slovakia as its Authorised Service Contractor for UPS. Since 2002 the owner of Slovak Parcel Service s.r.o. has been the Austrian company Post International Beteiligungs GmbH.

Why did we choose SPS back in 2013, and why does the cooperation continue to this day?

The cooperation with SPS began back when the Neoship application was developed by colleagues from NEONUS, s.r.o., who besides building websites also ran the e-shop mojehodinky.sk. At that time the mojehodinky.sk e-shop used SPS courier services for shipment transport. Since in 2013 everything had to be done manually and carriers' functionality did not meet the e-shop's broader needs, they decided to program their own dispatch system. A new idea and good business relations with the SPS sales representative at the time led to the birth of the new Neoship project, which allowed e-shops not only to experience their „first encounter“ with automation but also to gain a new perspective on dispatch thanks to the features Neoship provides.

At the same time there was the intention of bringing customers comprehensive dispatch services including shipment transport. As we mentioned above, we decided to work with SPS on the basis of very good, working business relations, but the key factor when choosing a transport partner was above all their advanced capabilities in IT.

Given the technical integration and the options for exchanging shipment data, SPS was the transport company able to implement the requirements needed for the continuous development of new features in Neoship.

Which services does SPS excel in today?

SPS has a wide range of services and a logistics network:

• 25 branches and more than 600 delivery drivers

• For the period January – September 2018, SPS can boast a 93.65 % first-time delivery success rate.

• For the period January – September 2018, only 0.082 % of all parcels transported were the subject of a complaint.

• SPS was one of the first companies in Slovakia to start delivering documents electronically using a biometric signature, without presenting customers with a printed contract. The advantages of this service are a secure, fast way of sending documents, automated processing of signed documents, savings on printing, scanning and archiving contract documents, and protecting the environment.

• Another service SPS is proud of is coverage for paying COD by payment card. To date it has 550+ payment terminals.

• A wide, high-quality network of ParcelShops is available to customers. Currently there are more than 250 pickup points, with more being added, and the plan is to have 500 by the end of 2018.
